General principles

There are several versions of Frost 3D software, optimum choice of which depends on volume and complexity of a solvable task. Frost 3D is delivered by subscription from 3 to 24 months with right of extension. The combination of these features allows to select quite flexibly the software version within the users’ budget. You can apply for up-to-date price on the page of purchase request.

Recommendations about increase in productivity of certain Frost 3D versions

It is necessary to choose processor with higher frequency of core work for acceleration of computation on single-core CPU-versions (Student, Economy)

It is necessary to choose processor with large number of cores and higher frequency of each core work for acceleration of computation on multicore CPU-versions (Standard, Unlimited).

It is recommended to increase memory size of RAM and VGA (besides choosing more powerful processor): RAM is necessary for performing computations, VGA is necessary for 3D-models display for acceleration of work with large computational meshes on multicore CPU (Standard, Unlimited) and GPU-versions.

It is necessary to choose VGA with large number of CUDA-cores and also with higher frequency of their work for acceleration of computation on multicore GPU-versions.

General recommendations on productivity increasing

The software package works faster with use of SSD. Especially you can notice it while opening/saving the computational results.

It is recommended to turn off the sleep mode and screensaver display.

The computer is recommended to be switched to the mode of the maximum productivity in power supply management, in case of working on the laptop, it is also necessary to be sure that it gets power from the socket, but not the accumulator.

Before carrying out the computation in Frost 3D of it is recommended to close other exacting programs, for example, browser with a large number of tabs or CAD-systems with a large number of open projects.

During computations it is not recommended to copy or transfer large volumes of data, to install or delete the software; to carry out virus testing, defragmentation of disks, indexation or comparison of catalogs and also to use search in folders and files and means of archiving.

For exe-processes of the software it is necessary to specify the maximum priority in task manager or its analogs.
